About Our Independent PhilHealth Portal Guide

We built this site because finding a straight answer about the PhilHealth login process, PIN recovery, or the PhilHealth Member Portal shouldn’t take twenty browser tabs and three phone calls. Below is who writes this, how we check our facts before publishing, and how to reach us if something’s wrong.

Why this site exists

A Hospital Hallway at 3 A.M.

A few years ago, my mother was rushed to the hospital at around 2 a.m. In the middle of the admitting paperwork, the desk asked for her PhilHealth MDR — a term I’d never heard, on a night I had zero patience to learn what it stood for. I half-remembered a 12-digit PIN, guessed at an old password, and very nearly typed her personal details into a website that only looked like the real PhilHealth portal.

That night is the actual reason this site exists. I’m not a PhilHealth employee, a lawyer, or a healthcare provider — just someone who went through the confusing parts of this system firsthand and started writing down, step by step, what actually worked. Every guide on this site started as a note I wished someone had handed me that night.

What we’re trying to do

Our Mission

PhilHealth actually runs three separate systems — the Member Portal, EPRS for employers, and IHCP for healthcare providers — each with its own login and its own quirks. Our mission is to translate that structure into plain steps: how to register, how to recover a PIN, how to read the 2026 contribution table, and what YAKAP empanelment actually requires, without the jargon or the guesswork. We’re not trying to replace PhilHealth’s own online services — we’re trying to make them easier to actually use.

Our editorial process

How We Research and Verify Every Guide

This is a health-and-money topic, so we hold ourselves to a higher bar than “sounds about right.” Here’s the actual process behind every page:

  1. Start from the primary source.Every step-by-step guide is built from PhilHealth’s own published circulars, advisories, and the official site — not from other blogs.
  2. Cross-check against independent reporting.Figures like the contribution rate are verified against Philippine Information Agency (PIA) coverage before publishing, not assumed from a single source.
  3. Flag it when sources disagree. When official guidance and third-party sources conflict — like exact eKonsulta shutdown dates — we say so directly and link to where you can confirm the current answer, instead of guessing.
  4. Date every page. Each guide carries a “last reviewed” date. Programs and rates change; we’d rather you know how fresh the information is than assume it’s timeless.
A note on limits: we are an independent publisher, not PhilHealth. For anything account-specific — a claim, a payment dispute, a login that’s genuinely broken — the fastest path is always PhilHealth’s own contact directory, not this site.
Trust & transparency

Independence, Accuracy & Your Privacy

We are not PhilHealth

This site is an independent publisher. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official channel of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation. For actual transactions, always use philhealth.gov.ph directly.

We never host a login form

Every login step links out to the real PhilHealth site. We will never ask you to type your PIN, password, or ID photo into this site.

We don’t collect sensitive data

We don’t request, collect, or store PhilHealth account credentials, PINs, or government ID numbers through this site.

We keep pages dated

Every guide shows when it was last checked against official sources, so you can judge freshness for yourself.

Corrections & Feedback

Rates change, circulars get revised, and we make mistakes. If you spot a figure that’s outdated or a step that no longer matches the real portal, tell us — we’ll check it against the current PhilHealth circular and correct the page, usually within a few days. You don’t need to be right about the fix; just point us at what looked off.
